Terms and Conditions

To ensure the administrative and financial side of your treatment runs as smoothly as possible, you will find our terms and conditions here.

Treatment agreement

When you visit our practice, you are treated by one of our podotherapists. This creates what is known as a 'treatment agreement'. This treatment agreement gives rise to the obligation to pay your practitioner for the services provided.

The conditions below apply unconditionally to all treatment agreements between patient and practitioner, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. These provisions also apply to any follow-up appointment relating to an earlier agreement. Dutch law applies to all assignments and agreements.

Invoicing

  • As soon as the patient makes an appointment with Podotherapie Rotterdam (in person, by telephone or by email), the patient enters into a payment obligation.
  • The patient is responsible for paying the invoice arising from the treatment agreement on time.
  • The administrative handling of invoices for Podotherapie Rotterdam is outsourced to Infomedics. Infomedics sends the invoice and is also responsible for collecting it. The Infomedics payment conditions apply to the invoice. The Infomedics service desk can be reached Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00 on +31 36 20 31 900 or via the contact form at www.infomedics.nl.
  • In order for the financial side to run properly, Podotherapie Rotterdam is required to state the citizen service number (BSN) on the invoice.
  • Infomedics submits the invoice directly to the health insurer. This means the patient will only receive an invoice from Podotherapie Rotterdam for the part of the invoice for which no further claim can be made under the supplementary health insurance package.
  • Podotherapie Rotterdam cannot give any binding statement as to whether the patient is entitled to reimbursement from their health insurer.
  • A number of health insurers (including DSW) do not permit direct submission. In that case the patient must arrange payment themselves, as well as any submission of the invoice to the health insurer.
  • If the patient cannot or does not wish to pay the invoice in one instalment, it is possible to arrange a payment plan with Infomedics. Please note: Infomedics charges administration costs to make such an arrangement possible.

Appointments

  • When making the appointment, the patient receives a confirmation by email and, the day before the appointment, a reminder by email.
  • Appointments made (in person, by telephone or by email) can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Podotherapie Rotterdam reserves the right to charge for appointments missed without timely cancellation, or cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment (also in the event of illness or emergencies).
  • If the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance but before the appointment was due to start, half of the time reserved will be charged.
  • If the patient does not attend the appointment, or cancels after the appointment was due to start, the full reserved time will be charged.
  • Podotherapie Rotterdam reserves a specific amount of time when an appointment is made. If the patient is not present at the agreed time, the treating podotherapist may no longer be able to carry out the treatment (in full) and a new appointment may have to be made. The full reserved time will be charged.
  • If the service appointment for checking the insoles is missed, a new appointment can be scheduled. That new appointment will, however, be charged.

Treatment plan consent

  • The patient is obliged to reimburse all costs incurred by us. Verbal consent or a signature given after the examination, whereby the patient agrees to the manufacture of podotherapeutic insoles, orthoses or other therapy, is binding. Production of these therapeutic aids starts immediately after the examination. In the event of cancellation, all costs incurred by us will be charged to you.
  • The costs of treating a patient under the age of 16 are payable by the legal representative. A patient aged 16 or 17 is personally liable for the costs of treatment, unless the legal representative has confirmed in writing that they will pay the costs.

Quality & Service

  • The podotherapists of Podotherapie Rotterdam undertake to act to the best of their ability.
  • To safeguard quality and service, all podotherapists at Podotherapie Rotterdam are members of the Nederlandse Vereniging van Podotherapeuten (NVvP) and are registered as quality-registered practitioners with the Kwaliteitsregister Paramedici.
  • No guarantee can be given as to the effect of therapeutic aids. Adjustments to insoles, orthoses and other podotherapeutic aids fall within our service for up to 3 months after delivery and are therefore not charged.
  • An insufficient treatment result does not under any circumstances entitle you to a refund or exemption from payment.
  • Complaints can be submitted in writing to: Podotherapie Rotterdam, marked 'klacht', Blondeelstraat 15, 3067 VA Rotterdam, or by email to info@podotherapierotterdam.nl. The patient may also contact the Klachtenloket Paramedici via info@klachtenloketparamedici.nl or by telephone on 030 – 310 09 29.

General

  • Podotherapie Rotterdam may make changes to these terms and conditions and may implement price changes.
  • Podotherapie Rotterdam is not liable for the loss, disappearance or damage of your belongings, or for any other loss suffered by the patient.

Infomedics payment conditions in brief

The Infomedics payment conditions apply to the invoice. In summary, these are as follows:

  • The amounts charged by care providers for fees, costs and other remuneration arising from the consultation, treatment or procedures carried out for the patient are immediately due and payable.
  • Where possible, Infomedics will submit your invoice to your health insurer. Any reimbursement is always shown on the invoice.
  • Infomedics expects you to pay the invoice before the due date stated on it.
  • Infomedics applies a standard payment term of 30 days. You transfer the amount due to account number NL34 ABNA 0243 2400 58 in the name of Infomedics B.V. Always quote the payment reference, which you will find on the invoice in the rectangular box at the bottom.
  • If Infomedics is forced to hand an unpaid invoice over to third parties for collection, Infomedics is entitled to charge you the judicial and/or extrajudicial costs incurred.
  • Please note that if you submit a complaint or register with another care provider, your invoice must still ultimately be paid. Your payment obligation cannot be suspended on those grounds.

The Infomedics payment conditions are filed with the Dutch trade register under number 48143. Where these conditions refer to 'the patient', this also includes, where applicable, the legal representative of the patient.
